The Bank is headquartered in Malta, is listed on the Malta Stock Exchange, and regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority.  We are seeking to recruit a Networking & IT Security Specialist to join our IT Infrastructure team.

Job Description

In this role, you will form part of the team responsible for the global technology infrastructure of the FIMBank Group.

Your duties will include:

• Supporting the team in the delivery, administration, operations and troubleshooting of Group enterprise network devices and security infrastructure;
• Providing a point of escalation for advanced support;
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation;
• Supporting the IT team in specific projects.

Interested individuals should possess expertise encompassing most of the following areas:

• IP and Internet technologies;
• Wired and wireless data networks;
• Telecoms and connectivity;
• Network management and performance monitoring technologies;
• Application security;
• Endpoint, network and mobile security systems;
• Information leakage protection and control;
• Software-defined security and networking in virtualised environments.

A strong general understanding of complex IT infrastructures together with well-evolved analytical skills are essential. Knowledge of unified communications systems and of cloud security and access, while not crucial, is desirable.

This role calls for at least 7 years of prior experience working in demanding mission-critical IT environments and an engineering or IT-related degree or equivalent. Relevant vendor certifications in networking and security technologies will be considered as assets.

Above all, you must be an excellent team player with an aptitude to learn, be willing to support the organisation outside standard office hours, show drive, passion and commitment together with a capacity for taking on responsibility and meeting tight deadlines.
