Recruitment & Selection Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy denotes FIMBank plc’s committal to being transparent about how it collects and uses its candidate’s data in meeting its data protection obligations for recruitment and selection purposes. It delineates what to expect in relation to a candidate’s personal information which is collected, handled and processed.
We acknowledge and agree that any personal data that we handle will be processed in accordance with all applicable data protection laws in force from time to time. FIMBank plc adheres to the General Data Protection Regulations (“GDPR”), effective from 25 May 2018.

FIMBank plc may collect this information through your Curriculum Vitae (CV), your passport or personal identification number, or collected through interviews or other interview assessments.

Your personal data may also be collected from third parties, such as references from past employers.  We may seek information from third parties during interview stage and will inform you that we are doing so.

Data may be stored in a range of different places, including on your application record, HR Management systems and other IT systems (including email).

Who has access to your personal data?

Your personal data may be shared internally for recruitment purposes only. This includes members of the Human Resources team, the hiring manager / team leader / team member/s and employees who are involved in the recruitment process. 

Consent will be sought for reference checks and any psychometric questionnaire(s) if applicable.

Is my personal data protected?

We have internal polices and controls in place to ensure that your data is not lost, destroyed, misused or disclosed, and is not accessed except by the employees involved in the recruitment process. In addition to this, technological defensive systems are in place in order to prevent leaks of information to any unauthorised persons as well as personal security at FIMBank plc’s premises.

How long do we keep data?

If your application for employment is unsuccessful, FIMBank plc will hold on to your personal data on file for 6 (six) months after the end of the relevant recruitment process should future employment opportunities arise which may be suited to you, unless instructed otherwise by yourself. Should you wish to extend this period you would need to contact us by sending an email. At the end of this period, or once you withdraw your consent, your data is deleted or destroyed. 

If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personal file which will be stored with the Human Resources team (electronic and paper) and retained during your employment.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may be changed by FIMBank plc at any time.  Any changes or updates to our privacy policy will be prominent on our website.
