FIMBank announces higher interest rates on its Easisave Savings Accounts and Fixed Term Deposits

FIMBank p.l.c. has just announced higher interest rates for its Easisave Euro Savings and Fixed Term Deposits. Easisave.com is the Bank’s online savings platform, which allows retail clients to open and manage their savings accounts from the comfort of their home. These new rates are in line with the Bank’s commitment  to provide high quality banking solutions that accommodate the evolving needs of its clientele.

With this increase in interest rates, clients will be able to benefit from more competitive interest rates on their Easisave Savings Accounts, as well as on their Easisave Fixed Term Deposits, with tenors which range from three months to three years. Easisave Savings Account holders will benefit from a 2.6 % p.a. interest rate, while one year fixed term deposits will yield an interest of 3.5% p.a. The minimum deposit to open an Easisave Savings Account is that of EUR 50, while to open a fixed term deposit, a minimum of EUR 1,000 is required.  FIMBank is also offering a welcome bonus of EUR 25, which is applicable for all new customers. The increased interest rates are applicable to new contracts.

The newly announced interest rates, which are on a gross per annum basis, are as follows:

 

FIMBank is regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority, and deposits are guaranteed for up to €100,000 per depositor per credit institution, under the Malta Depositor Compensation Scheme.
