BrasilFactors Appoints Acting CEO

BrasilFactors a joint venture between the FIMBank Group and CCB China Construction Bank (Brasil) has appointed Marcos Kairuz as acting Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.

Mr Kairuz started his career with Banco Itaú where he served as Product Manager and Account Officer. He was part of the team that developed the Bank’s SISPAG electronic payment system. He then joined Banco Mercantil FINASA (BRADESCO) as Business and Product Director. Following this short stint, he worked for Citibank as Director responsible for receivables products.

In 2007 he joined BICBANCO´s and four years later was engaged as Chief Financial Officer of Brasilfactors S.A.

Mr Kairuz holds a Mechanical Engineer degree from Escola Politécnica – Universidade de São Paulo as well as a post-degree in Financial and Product Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV. He is regularly invited to deliver talks and financial training in securitisation and banking products.

On this new appointment, Murali Subramanian, FIMBank Group CEO commented “We are pleased to welcome Marcos in his new key role as acting CEO of BrasilFactors. Mr Kairuz stated, “Together with my management team we will immediately set out to plan our short medium and longer term strategies, with a view of assuring sustainable profitability and value creation for our shareholders.”
