Malicious Website/Phishing Attempt

25.05.2020

FIMBank is aware that a malicious website has been created as an attempted replica of the current Bank website, including its digital banking platform, FIMBank Direct. In this regard, all customers of the Bank are being informed and are requested to access our security notice on https://www.fimbank.com/en/security-notice for insights on how to distinguish between a fraudulent website and a genuine one.

Such malicious efforts are becoming more regular and are commonly referred to as phishing, which is the act of attempting to acquire information such as usernames, passwords, PINs, access codes (and sometimes, indirectly, money) by masquerading as a trustworthy entity.

Customers should always be vigilant against these scams that seek to lure them into surrendering sensitive information to a third party.

Efforts are underway to have this malicious website brought down.

Should any clarification be required, do not hesitate to contact FIMBank Helpdesk on 00356 2132 2102.
