Ruth Genovese joins FIMBank as Vice President, Business Development

Ruth Genovese has been appointed as Vice President of Business Development at FIMBank, focusing on delivering corporate finance solutions to Malta-based businesses. Ruth joins a dedicated team of employees specialising in business banking, corporate finance, and real estate finance. With an extensive background in customer-centric roles, Ruth has held various positions such as Customer Service Officer, Relationship Officer, Savings & Investment Officer, Financial Planning Manager, and Head of Business Banking at Bank of Valletta. In her most recent senior management role, she played a pivotal part in improving the Business Customer Cross-Sell Ratio by providing a comprehensive, high-quality customer experience.

In her new business development role at FIMBank, Ruth will be responsible for expanding the bank's corporate finance offerings to Malta-based businesses. Leveraging her 22 years of banking experience and expertise in customer relationship management, business development, and corporate lending, Ruth aims to provide innovative financial solutions to clients, further bolstering FIMBank's presence in the local market.

With a wealth of experience and a proven track record in the banking and finance industry, Ruth is poised for success at FIMBank. Commenting on the appointment, she remarked: "FIMBank is a respected international brand, particularly in the trade finance world. The Bank's strategy is to proactively engage with Malta-based businesses and increase its presence in the local market with a service offering that includes the existing comprehensive range of trade finance products, including treasury, cash management and payment services”.

She added: "The team’s primary focus going forward will be on opportunities within our home country. The new corporate lending products include working capital finance solutions, such as overdrafts, guarantee facilities, revolving loans, project financing, and business loans.

This is derived by building and maintaining valued relationships.
